CARN – The Creative Arts Research Network
The Creative Arts Research Network (CARN) will be launched as a collaborative platform that brings together academics across Sri Lanka in the visual and performing arts. CARN aims to promote interdisciplinary research, knowledge exchange, and creative innovation.
The objectives of establishing CARN include enhancing the visibility of Sri Lankan arts research both regionally and internationally through strategic dissemination and advocacy efforts and, encouraging practice-based and community-engaged research that responds to local cultural contexts and social issues. Furthermore, this initiative will help foster critical dialogue on creativity, culture, and the role of the arts in society, supporting informed discussion and policy development.
